Five Hundred Posts by Iris Carden
This is my five hundredth post.
From the start of this project, my plan was to publish every day, and so far I’ve been able to keep that up. It’s good for me, helping keep my mind active even when the dreaded lupus brain fog descends. It gives me an outlet for creativity and a reason I have to get up even when my aching lupie body wants to just give up and stay in bed.
A daily deadline has meant that many of the ideas I’ve had for books are actually being written, instead of being lost.
That’s what it’s done for me.
For readers, I hope it’s been, and continues to be entertaining.
What does the future hold?
Well, for my major work in progress, Family Lies, things are going to get dramatically worse for Emily before they get better. Don’t worry. She might be chronically ill, but she’s strong.
Over in the Human Defence Unit stories, things are about to take a nasty turn as well. Yes, I am quite cruel to my characters. Hopefully, they’ll survive what’s about to come, although I suspect some may not.
I’m still getting myself organised to publish a couple of books I shared as I wrote them on the blog earlier, but that’s a matter of time, energy and money.
As always, I’d love feedback from the wonderful people who read my work.
What have you enjoyed in the past five hundred posts? What would you like to read more of? (Oh and Princess and Fanta want to ask if you have any treats handy.)
See you for the next five hundred posts.

Congratulations, that is quite the accomplishment! I’m glad you’re finding value in them, since that means there will be many more in store for all of us! I’m sure its no surprise I love the HDU stories, and yikes over what may come!!! I hope to see those and more in a future book! Fanta and Princess, I have some yummy freeze dried chicken to share with you and lots of pets and skritches. Please keep inspiring Mom and helping keep her muse happy and productive! 💞
