Games by Princess Cat
I’ve been told Christmas is a time for parties and games and things. Would you like to hear about my favourite games I play with my human.
One game is “got ya”. I like lying on the floor, with my legs up in the air, so I can air my floof. All of this floof gets hot in summer, so it does need to be aired in front of the air conditioner. Whenever the human walks past she gives me a little tummy tickle and says: “got ya.” Then sometimes, when I’m not lying on my back, the human will walk past me and I’ll give her a tiny pat with my paw. I don’t say “got ya,” because my mouth won’t work that way.
Another game is “ball”. I have a favourite ball, and I pat it and skitter it and chase it and pounce on it and it’s a lot of fun. Sometimes I take the ball to the human and give it to her. I meow very sweetly, and she send the ball skittering along for me to chase. She can make a ball skitter a very long way before it stops. Fanta plays a game a bit like this with the human, she gives her crocodile or another toy to the human and the human throws it down the hallway for Fanta to chase. When she throws a toy for Fanta, she makes it fly through the air, instead of skittering along the floor, but it’s almost the same game.
My ball’s a bit squashed and out-of-shape because I’ve played with it so much, and because a human or two might have stepped on it sometimes. The human says she might get me a new one for Christmas.
Those are my favourite games. I hope you have games you like to play too.
Oh my human asked me to let you know, if we have a day we don’t post anything on this site, or we post something you don’t expect (because normally we have set days for things), it’s because the human has COVID. She keeps going: “Cough cough cough sniff sniff sneeze cough blerk.” The upstairs human has it too. The other animals are not behaving nicely. Fanta’s throwing tantrums because no one is taking her for a walk, and Bumpy is trying to bully the upstairs human. I’m trying to be a sweet and understanding little kitty. I’m not complaining if I don’t have my litter changed as often or my dinner’s late. And if my human’s feeling especially bad, I sit up on the seat right beside her and just let her know she has a friend with her. I think that’s the best a fluffy cat can do.

Princess
Princess is a seal-point ragdoll cat. Her hobbies include naps, waking the human in the middle of the night, tummy tickles, knocking things off shelves, evading grooming, and petty theft (stealing paintbrushes, pincushions, etc.) Her special skills include jingle ball and fluffy mouse chasing. Her key goal in life is to be adored by everyone, but not actually touched unless she specifically requests it. She is never allowed outside, partly to protect wildlife, partly to keep debris out of her hair, and mostly because she is so naïve she wouldn’t survive five minutes outside. Also known as Pretty Kitty and Snuggle Cat.
