Fairy Dust

A glittery night time scene, with a fairy flying past, a tree and plants drawn in glitter. Caption reads: "A sprinkle of fairy dust, sparkling bright."

Fairy Dust poem by Iris Carden

A sprinkle of fairy dust
sparkling bright
glimmers and glitters
and brightens the night.

The forgotten joys
of childhood long gone,
memories of laughter
memories of song.

When life's at its darkest,
when gloom's over all,
it's hard to remember
there's joy to recall.

But that's when we need
some fairy dust most,
the times when we're sad,
the times when we're lost.

Adulthood is hard,
with the burdens we bear,
We need childish delight,
a bit, here and there.
