Rainbows and Unicorns

Poem by Iris Carden

Rainbows and unicorns, faeries and gnomes,
there's a magical world, not far from home.

Down the garden path, in forest, near stream,
the magic is waiting, you know what I mean.

Feel the whimsy of a magical location,
there's always a way through imagination.

Whatever you're doing, wherever you are,
faeries and unicorns are never far.

Let's go for a walk, just down this path,
over the rainbow and on to the stars.

Let's dance with faeries and ride unicorns.
Forget being grownups this magical morn.

How The Trees Grow

by Special Guest Poet Johanna (aged 8)

I sat on my mat with my hat in a seed.
I hit it and hit it till it turned to a weed.
It grew to the size of a mouse
then it grew to the size of a house.
It grew and grew in my hat
bigger and bigger until it was fat.
