This Week’s Prompt

This week, we’re going for a visual prompt. Meet Mr Bumpy, who for the purposes of your story can be any cat you want him to be. Write a story or poem inspired by this picture of Mr B.

Discussion

I remember a creative writing lecturer telling my class we had to write with the audience in mind.

I never do that. I write whatever I feel like at the time. (Of course, I’ve never actually made a profit of my creative writing, so I’m probably doing everything wrong.)

What do you do? Do you write for an audience or for yourself?

You can write your responses to the Prompt or the Discussion or both in the comments, or on your own website and post a link to the post in the comments. If you need a website, you can get a free WordPress site here. (If you use this referral link to set up a WordPress account, you and I will both receive WordPress credit.)
